Changes in the Federal Law on Unemployment Insurance (Arbeitslosenversicherung)
Since April 1, 2011, the calculation time for unemployment compensation has been modified (Taggelder –diets, daily compensation), since it depends on the number of months of contribution and the age of the unemployed person. The unemployed fund will check how many months the insured has contributed during the 2 years prior to the date of being announced to the RAV offices at their address.
In Switzerland there is the Federal Law on Compulsory Unemployment Insurance and Insolvency Compensation, the purpose of which is to guarantee the insured persons adequate compensation for the loss of earnings due to unemployment (unemployment), reduced work, bad weather, insolvency by the employer of work.
The contributions are in charge of half to the employer and the other half corresponds to the worker. But the workers to whom the employer is not obliged to pay contributions correspond to themselves to pay the contributions in full.
In the event that the insured person receives a salary of less than 3,700 Swiss francs and does not have children, he may receive 80% of the salary. Regarding the obligation to pay food for children under 25 years of age, 80% of the salary can be received as compensation, if the child is over 25 years of age, 70% of the salary will be received.
